Pentecostal - Inspired in Worship

Happy almost Thanksgiving!  This has to be one of my most favourite times of the year.  I love that it's still warm but the air is crisp, everything is pumpkin and cinnamon flavoured with beautiful fall colours!  I am thankful for changing seasons, yes even winter.

Thanksgiving is the time of year when stop to think about all that we are thankful.  Hopefully we gather together with friends or family and have an opportunity to appreciate the many blessings in our lives.  It is impossible for me to celebrate Thanksgiving without taking time out to worship God.  Every good thing in my life, every challenge I've faced, every path I've walked I am thankful to God.

This week we are talking about being Inspired in Worship.  I don't know about you but worship is something that I can sometimes take for granted.  I find myself distracted on Sunday morning and then rushing through a busy week, finding myself back at church on Sunday realizing that I haven't taken time to worship God.  Worship inspires us to draw closer to Him, it refreshes our heart in adoration and it focuses our attention on the greatness of God.

Did you know that worship is an area that you can and should be growing in, nothing in our spiritual lives should ever become stagnant or same old.  Truly we should always be asking God for more, for growth and to be changed.  This week let's ask the Holy Spirit to fill us in new ways and to allow ourselves to worship God with thankful abandon.

See you Sunday!
