You may have noticed over the past couple of years that our lobby doors need to be replaced. Our building is almost 35 years old, so we thank them for their service and get ready to welcome new doors this fall!

We’ve been working for several months to get the prices and plans together, and now our doors are officially ordered and in production. This includes the interior and exterior vestibule doors and three steel doors (side entrance, Fellowship Hall, and kitchen). In about a month, our contractors will begin, and we’re looking forward to our updated, much more weather-proof doors, including automatic openers.

The cost for this project is about $55,000 (+HST): $44,500 for the doors, $3,500 for general contracting work, and $5,000 for new tile flooring in the vestibule. We’ll also need some electrical work done for the automatic openers.

I want to thank Pastor Erin for her diligent work in getting this off the ground, and the prayerful stewardship of the board as they considered and then approved this project.
