I hope you were able to be with us this past Sunday when we had the chance to say goodbye and thank you to Theresa, who has served as our Children’s Ministries Director for the past two years. We’re grateful for how Theresa and her family have invested in our church, and especially our kids and families. We are praying that God would bless her in her next chapter at Movement Church in Woodstock.

You may be wondering what’s next for our kids ministry at Freedom. Our first step was to find an interim leader to help us as we work through the hiring process. I’m pleased to let you know that Ruthie Dunham has agreed to step in over the coming months to ensure that we continue to have great ministry for our kids every week. Ruthie has her undergrad degree in education and is one of our kids ministry team members, serving for the past few years as a Kids Church teacher. She will be reporting to Pastor Erin, who will be giving pastoral oversight to this ministry over the coming months.

Meanwhile, the search for a new CM Director is underway. The position has been posted on our website and the District website, and I am reaching out to my networks to find potential candidates. If you know of someone who might be interested in joining the team at Freedom, please send them this link.

Hiring staff can be quite a process, but we trust that God has each step already ordered for us. Pray that He will give us His wisdom as we seek His very best for our Freedom kids, and pray that the right person’s heart, mind, and spirit would be prepared for their next step here at Freedom.
