There was something really special about our Fast & Pray days last week. Thank you to everyone who took the time to fast and pray. We’ve already seen glimpses of God at work—hearing testimonies of healing, and sensing a deep movement of the Spirit in so many different ways.
We stepped into what 1 Timothy 2:1 calls us to—bringing petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving before God. We were reminded that the weapons we fight with are not of this world (2 Corinthians 10:4), and we prayed the way James encourages us to—asking God for wisdom, trusting in His generosity. We held onto the promises of Jesus in Matthew and Mark, believing that as we pray according to His will and His power, He hears us.
And we didn’t just pray—we practiced waiting. Sitting in His presence. Slowing down. As Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
We also ended the week on Sunday morning—with thanksgiving and praise. Remembering that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3), and that we are invited to enter His presence with thanksgiving and praise (Psalm 100:4). He is good. He hears us. And He walks with us.
I want to encourage you to take a moment and reflect:
How did the Lord show up?
How did He speak?
What is He inviting you into next?
While Fast & Pray Days have ended, the call to prayer and fasting has not. Let’s continue to make these practices a regular part of our lives. Another week of prayer and fasting will come, but the invitation to walk closely with Him continues every day.
We would love to hear your stories—how the Lord moved, what He spoke, what this week meant to you. Sharing those stories encourages all of us.
And if you’re still waiting on answers—don’t lose heart. Like the persistent widow, we keep coming. We keep asking. And we stand with you in prayer, continuing to bring it all before the Lord.
Blessings,
Pastor Erin
